     James, referred to by family and friends as J.C., was born near Shelby, North Carolina.  He later met and married LuElla and they have established their home in Newton, N.C.
J.C. is a talented singer.  He and his brother William (Billy) were part of a singing group known as the Spiritual Harmonets wherewith they did many local and radio performances.  In 1959 they cut a record album.  Born to J.C. and LuElla were 2 children.
