     Margaret was born in Ellenboro, North Carolina. Her family later moved to Boiling Springs, North Carolina where she graduated from Green Bethel High School.  Margaret met and married William Joseph Mitchell.  They lived in the Shelby, NC area many of their adult years.
In 1972 Margaret attended Cleveland Technical School where she persued studies in nursing assistance.
Born to the family of Margaret and William Mitchell were 5 children, and 12 grandchildren.
